Shares of lOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals climbed 11.2 percent intraday Thursday after the company successfully raised Ibuprofen manufacturing facility at its Ludhiana plant. "The company completed its de-bottlenecking/re-engineering project for its Ibuprofen manufacturing facilities at Barnala with project cost of Rs 24 crore and commenced the enhanced production from today," the APIs (active pharmaceutical ingredient) producer said in its filing. Post this completion, capacity of Ibuprofen plant increased to 6,200 tonne per annum. With this it becomes world's only largest backward integrated Ibuprofen producer with current installed capacity, manufacturing all intermediates stages and key starting materials at one location. The company says this facility approved by US Food & Drug Administration, ANVISA, EDQM, WHO and MOH Japan. It exports Ibuprofen in Europe, Latin America, Middle East and USA. At 11:27 hours IST, the scrip of IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals was quoting at Rs 92.75, up Rs 7.70, or 9.05 percent on the BSE.

The stock market is just flat as key earnings are announced. Infosys, Reliance, L&T and Bajaj Auto are top gainers while Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Steel, GAIL, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors are losers in the Sensex. Crude oil prices edged up after falling over 2 percent the previous session, with analysts saying oversupply and a strong dollar would continue to weigh on fuel markets.

The Nifty is hovering around 7950, down 0.65 points. The Sensex is down 20.06 points at 26284.14. About 998 shares have advanced, 1434 shares declined, and 122 shares are unchanged. SBI, Infosys, Reliance, Bajaj Auto and L&T are top gainers while Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Steel, Vedanta, GAIL and M&M are among losers in the Sensex.

The Indian Stock market has fallen further as the Nifty breaks 7950. The 50-share index is down 17.25 points or 0.2 percent at 7938.20. The Sensex is down 73.66 points or 0.3 percent at 26230.54. Dr Reddy's Labs, M&M, BHEL, Tata Steel and Vedanta are among losers while SBI, Reliance, Infosys, ONGC and L&T are top gainers.
