Post a flat start, the Nifty witnessed some bounce a couple of times during the day. However, 8000 acted as a strong hurdle while the index finally ended only 17 points higher. The Nifty future discount narrowed and settled at 4 points. India VIX fell 1.8% to end at 17.5 Daily.
